Walk Down the Aisle With Me at In Other Words Bookstore

Remember those giddy days when same-sex marriage happened here, in Oregon? Alright, so it was rapidly followed by legal limbo, a vitriolic election, a constitutional ban and an annulment by state supreme court decision announcing the 3000 marriages null, void and legally non-existent, but hey, it was great while it lasted. Join this bride on a roller coaster ride down memory lane as I read from my award-winning book, The Brides of March: Memoir of a Same-Sex Marriage, at the last non-profit feminist bookstore in the US, on Tuesday, June 17th at 6:30 PM, in honor of Pride!

Tell five friends about the reading, suggest it to your book group (guaranteed to get discussion cracking while domestic partnerships are edging closer to the ballot), drag along your reluctant in-law, and enjoy an evening of laughter and tears in a cozy atmosphere guaranteed to give you flashbacks of freshman year.

The Brides of March won a Foreword Magazine Book of the Year Award, a National Indie Excellence Award, an Independent Publisher Book Award, a Reader Views Award and an Honorable Mention in the Writer’s Digest International Self-Published Book Awards.

In Other Words Bookstore is located at 8 NE Killingsworth (at Williams Avenue). Call 503-232-6003 for directions or more information. Hope to see you there!
